Candidate Profile

TEEP Barnett is a leading energy exploration and production company, committed to delivering innovative solutions and driving success across all core competency areas. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our IT initiatives and contribute to our overall business goals.

Education: Undergraduate degree in IT or data science with a business management emphasis (graduate degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum 10 years of IT management experience, including 5 years in a senior management role. Experience with upstream exploration and production IT activities is preferred.

Activities

Define IT Strategies:

• Develop and align IT strategies with corporate goals, ensuring a strong linkage between technology and business objectives.
• Stay informed about technology developments and their applicability to exploration and production efforts.

Budget Management:

• Establish and administer IT budgets, closely monitoring actual results against budgeted amounts.
• Collaborate with both TEEP Barnett and the Total Group to optimize IT spending.

Policy Formulation and Implementation:

• Create and implement IT policies and procedures, fostering a consistent IT environment.
• Leverage knowledge of policy governance and procedural guidance concepts, applying TotalEnergies IT policies effectively.

Vendor Negotiations:

• Negotiate IT products and services contracts, securing favorable terms and vendor concessions.
• Possess a strong understanding of intellectual property law and negotiation tactics.

Technology Solutions Approval:

• Evaluate and approve technological solutions, ensuring consideration of appropriate alternatives.

Project Leadership:

• Plan and lead IT projects, ensuring timely delivery to meet operational needs.
• Utilize expert knowledge of project management concepts and computerized tools.

Team Motivation and Challenges:

• Guide and motivate IT staff, proactively addressing challenges.
• Allocate IT resources effectively to support TEEP Barnett's operational needs.

Networking:

• Develop and maintain external contacts as well as connections within TotalEnergies.

Context & Environment

The Director - IT holds the senior information technology position within TEEP Barnett.

Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls is essential.

The incumbent serves as a SOX Key Process Owner and/or Control Owner.
