The ERP Major Projects Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of multiple large-scale ERP initiatives within Phillips 66. They will play a crucial role in driving the successful delivery of ERP projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Leadership will be instrumental in guiding cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the overall success of ERP implementations, upgrades, divestitures and acquisitions.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major ERP projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocations, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including functional experts, technical specialists, consultants, and external vendors.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and performance of ERP projects.
  • Monitor project performance against established KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management, steering committees, and project sponsors.
  • Facilitate change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communication plans to support ERP adoption and organizational readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lessons learned and best practices to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ERP portfolio management to drive innovation and optimization.
  • Participate as a key member of the ERP Governance Council

Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8 or more years of experience managing complex projects
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale ERP implementations on time, within budget, and meeting business objectives
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and processes, with experience in one or more major ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading hybrid (IT and Business) project teams and driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and project updates to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level audiences
  • Experience with change management principles and methodologies, including organizational change readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, and training strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8-10 years of experience managing complex projects in a leadership role
  • Experience with Acquisitions and Divestitures of ERP systems
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience leading SAP Teams
  • Prior S/4 HANA Project experience
  • SAP certification in one or more modules
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification
  • AWS certifications
