JOB DESCRIPTION

The senior electrical design will involve in FEED and DED project of WHP, CPP, FPSO and brownfield projects.

Will be reporting to:

• Reports to Electrical Design Lead for technical responsibilities.
• Reports administratively to Department HOD

Position Summary:

Plays a primary role in electrical system deliverable development while supporting Design Lead in accomplishment project objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities or Duties:

• Review project standards and documents to assure the drawings and documents are compatible and aligned with the overall project objectives. Brings discrepancies to the attention of the Design Lead for resolution.
• Work with the Designers to assure the integrity of project drawings and documents are maintained and consistent.
• Complete understanding and knowledge of drawing organization and production.
• Review project documents to assure the electrical specific scope of work is compatible with the overall project objectives. Brings discrepancies to the attention of the Electrical Design Lead and discipline Lead engineer for resolution.
• Work with the Design Lead discipline engineer to assure that the integrity of project documents is maintained.
• Communicate with Design Lead and design teams to insure changes in scope are carried out in an orderly and efficient manner.
• Work with Design Lead and discipline engineer to assure potential trend / change orders are communicated and understood to / by the design team.
• Complete working knowledge of the entire facility electrical system and method of discipline design and drawing production.

  − Plans / Details / Layout
  − Schedules / MTOs
  − Spreadsheets / 3D model
• Assign specific design / drafting tasks to discipline design team.
• Coordinate with Designers and Drafters to ensure verbally received information is communicated, clearly understood, and documented.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

• 8 to 10 years' experience in design work (as a designer) not including as a drafter
• Preferred: Certificate in Drafting, Diploma in Technical Course
• Specialization: Electrical Technology
• Field visits to Onshore and Offshore facilities if / when required by project's objectives
