Description of the assignment:

Reporting to the Public Affairs Director of Technip Energies (T.EN), the VIE in charge of European Public Affairs will join our new office based in Brussels.

The VIE will work closely with our Public Affairs Department (based in Paris), as well as with Rely, our Joint Venture between T.EN and John Cockerill (headquartered in Brussels and specialized in green hydrogen), and Reju, T.ENs subsidy specialized in the regeneration of polyester textiles.

Tasks expected:
  • Daily monitoring of the press and European legislation in areas of interest for Technip Energies,
  • Monitoring and analyzing political orientations at EU level,
  • Creating and updating the usual tools for European public affairs: mapping of key stakeholders, calendar of events, preparing high-level meetings, etc.
  • Contributing to the definition of Technip Energies' positions,
  • Preparing and taking part in conferences organized on topics of interest to Technip Energies,
  • Organizing external events with key stakeholders,
  • Creating and leading a network of MEPs, assistants, think-tanks, professional organizations, associations, and influencers,
  • Drafting key messages and white papers on the topics relevant for T.EN, Rely and Reju,
  • Weekly reporting to T.ENs management and business lines.
  • Drafting minutes of high-level meetings.

Profile
  • Graduated with a BAC+5 / Masters degree in Political Science, Business, European Law,
  • Perfectly fluent in both English and French,
  • Interest in topics related to Energy transition,
  • In-depth knowledge of the European legislative process as well as the political dynamics within the European Union, particularly with regards to Energy topics.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of previous professional experience / internships in European public affairs or European institutions would be a strong advantage,
  • Proactive and team player, with good interpersonal skills and good oral expression,
  • Advocacy skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and persuade effectively.
