Planning Engineer

SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas and water on an international basis.
Position
Sicim is looking for a Planning Engineer for one of our upcoming projects in Iraq.
The Planning Engineer reports to the Project Control Manager and the candidate carries on the following activities:
• take care of the programming activities using specific software means, including: resource allocation, productivity tabulation and monitoring of the total working hours for persons and vehicles;
• update the works schedule;
• monitor the physical progress of the project;
• prepare histograms and curves on project progress;
• highlight any significant variances and suggest any corrective action within the scope of his competences
• prepare and check the SALs whenever there is no Project Cost Control Clerk;
• take part in drawing up of report material referring to his project;
• support the preparation of claims (change management) in particular as regards the planning envisaged and actually carried out for the project;

Requirements
Key qualifications for this position include:
- Degree / diploma in an engineering discipline with (seven) 7 years minimum experience in planning activities
- Must have five (5) year experience in a similar position on at least one major oil and gas installation project;
- Must be fully conversant with the latest planning software packages and techniques;
- Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
