Join TotalEnergies Renewables as a Financial Advisor in our Houston, TX office. This is a new addition to our team as we are strengthening our presence in renewable energies.

Electricity demand is set to rise faster than global demand for energy as a whole in the coming years. According to the International Energy Agency's Sustainable Development Scenario, renewable energies will represent more than 35% of the world's energy mix in 2040. To support this growth, our ambition is to achieve 100 gigawatts of gross installed renewable power generation capacity by 2030, through the development of our solar and wind energy businesses around the world.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
  • University degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Accounting, or other related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in renewable energy project finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Excel
  • Excellent financial modelling skills. Strong knowledge of economic concepts (Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Multiple on Invested Capital)
  • Detail-oriented and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, growing company
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly, in both oral and written forms
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a global company at all levels
  • Strong desire to advance the adoption of renewable energies in the global energy mix

Activities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a Financial Analyst include the following tasks:

  • Contribute to marketing presentations for potential financing & equity partners.
  • Financial modeling of Renewables projects (Solar, Offshore Wind or Battery/Storage) in line with negotiated financing documents, and consultants' reports.
  • Managing external consultants (independent engineer, transmission, legal) and maintaining project data rooms.
  • Financial and accounting analysis and optimization of project economics.
  • Prepare internal committee presentations (financial statements, economic results for TotalEnergies, sensitivities) to senior management in relation to investment decisions
  • Issuance and follow-up on bank guarantees
