JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of our business in Equatorial Guinea is to supply, facilitate and manage our contract workforce from entry level national personnel, technician level specialists, supervisory and where required managerial level personnel to operators in both an onshore and offshore working environment. As such a pre-requisite requirement of the role is the ability to maintain and sustain a continuous, open ended client relationship providing, best in class, direct project management support.

The role also requires strong leadership & people skills to managing the HR aspects of the job, with good organisation skills in managing the administrative aspects all within the organization's policies and within local applicable laws.

Ensuring all personnel work safely and all activities are meeting our health, safety, security, environmental, and quality (HSSEQ) is also essential. Also ensuring all project HSSEQ plans are current and being implemented by our people in the field.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a view to growing the Hexagon business.

Interface between client and internal WOOD services to develop additional service line provision assisting and supporting any identified opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Acts as Project Manager and company representative and manages the day-to-day business with the client and according to contract requirements.
  • Maintains a high standard of client relations, service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure achievement of client safety and performance KPIs
  • Coordination with the client in implementing the HSEQ requirements such as, HSE improvement plan, Duty of Care, Personnel Safety Inductions, etc and reporting of progress as well as reporting and investigation of incidents.
  • Conducts safety meetings and training programs to ensure safety requirements are met.
  • Manages the human resource functions of the project including personnel recruitment, mobilisation, inductions, salary, payroll, job change actions, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates support for the above as required from the offices in Aberdeen and Houston.
  • Manages and coordinates the administrative requirements of local documentation, Permits, LOIs and visas, travel coordination, maintaining business processes and providing management reports.
  • Manages and coordinates Company and Client Training requirements i.e. BOSIET, PSST2, Crane Ops/Inspection, CompEx, Coxswain, HLO/HLA, and 3 rd Party Equipment.
  • Provide oversite and approval process of payroll and expense reporting process ensuring that mistakes and errors are flagged up before sending advice to Houston.
  • Review and approval of all client invoices for correctness prior to submittal.
  • Coordinates timely cash collections with Company and Client F/A groups.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Ensures with the client that project activities are conducted within the requirements of good industry practice, government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Monitors project budget and ensures progress is within schedule.
  • Ensures that project personnel, other PMs, local support staff and management are provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage resources (staff, transport/coordination, IT infrastructure).
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Visit Client Department Supervisors and managers when needed, both on and offshore
  • Visits the client's sites and meets with our project personnel at their workplace and discusses safety, work, or employment issues.
  • Ensure all new employees are settled in, have their Hexagon/Wood and client safety inductions and their integration and performance is monitored.
  • Ensure alignment with Hexagon/Wood Core Values.
  • Ensure compliance with Hexagon/Wood Corporate policies.
  • Ensure corporate best practices are adopted wherever practicable.
  • A safety leader- willing to demonstrate a commitment to the safety of the entire team. Work within, and promote compliance with, the provisions and guidelines of the Hexagon/Wood HSEQ policies


  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications:

    • University degree or relevant college diploma
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is desirable
    Knowledge, skills, and experience:

    Previous international experience, similar "PM" experience, Spanish language and an "oilfield" background are strong advantages to meeting objectives.

    • Knowledge of business and management principles and procedures involved in strategic planning, strategic resourcing, resource allocation, human resources modelling, labour relations and negotiations, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
    • Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices.
    • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage resources (personnel, equipment, materials, facilities, funds, and reputation).
    • Several years' experience in a similar position.
    • Understands the company's businesses, competing projects, and profit impact of decisions.
    • Has in-depth understanding of project goals, drivers, and strategies.
    Personal attributes:

    • Demonstrates exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal & presentation skills. Knowledge of Spanish language is an advantage.
    • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
    • Demonstrates leadership ability with ability to motivate a diverse group of people, many without a direct reporting relationship.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
