Who we are

Oceaneering Space Systems (OSS) specializes in engineering and support services and turn-key product development for space and other harsh environments. Our product and service areas are extravehicular activity (EVA) tools and equipment, including NASA's new Constellation Space Suit System; intra-vehicular activity (IVA) equipment including environmental sensor systems; astronaut training in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory and Space Vehicle Mockup Facility; thermal protection systems for launch vehicles; and robotic systems for military, space, and biological research applications. Our capabilities include systems engineering, detailed design and analysis, manufacturing, testing, and product certification for mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems. This job is located in Clear Lake, Texas.

Position Summary

What you'll do

This is a paid Summer Internship Program (early June to early August). As an intern with our department, you will be exposed to a wide range of projects that would be typical for a Contracts Analyst.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You'll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Business or something similar.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Self-starter with good organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

DESIRED

• General Financial/Proposal work is beneficial.
• 0-6 years of experience in Contracts Administration and/or Purchasing experience.
• Experience with data entry into accounting and contract databases.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
