Project Diversity Overview

EPC Projects Overview

Woods Reading office has ongoing detailed engineering projects which offer opportunities for a full lifecycle of engineering experience. The Reading office is known for its ability to execute complex projects, and doing so provides challenges and opportunities for our engineers. As well as detailed experience within a discipline, these projects offer experience in sub contract management, interface management, multi centre execution management and governance, commercial awareness and use of industry leading tools and systems to ensure data integrity. Experience on these projects is valuable at all stages in peoples career and brings opportunity for career development.

FEED Projects Overview

Wood is currently executing and bidding a large number of FEED projects in numerous global locations. These projects offer design development experience within each discipline: this stage provides a good level of design development and structured evaluation of options, but with a good level of detail which is required to support high quality estimates and EPC bid packages. These projects are often fast track and executed across two or more execution centres. Combined with numerous sub contracts and complex interfaces, they present opportunities for technical problem solving as well as management and coordination. Woods Reading office is currently executing FEED projects for large scale Carbon Capture, NGL, Gas Compression, clean fuels refinery revamp and gas processing.

Front End Consulting Projects Overview

Woods Reading Projects group regularly supports our Consulting business with multi discipline engineering support. This group executes studies and Pre-FEED projects for a huge range of technologies, approximately half of which are renewable or sustainable technologies. Wood is extremely active in pre and post combustion carbon capture and an array of decarbonisation technologies, Hydrogen technology, GTL's, wind and solar power generation and storage technologies to name a few.
