The Opportunity:
Kent is looking for a Principal Mechanical Rotating Equipment & Package Engineer to be based in Mumbai/Vadodara.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Experienced Principal Mechanical - Rotating Equipment and Package Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore), Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical industry. Experience in the Sustainable, Renewable Energy and Decarbonization Projects are preferred. Skilled in Mechanical - Rotating Equipment and Package Engineering and should have experienced in Conceptual Design, FEED, Basic & Detailed Engineering including EPC and EPCM Projects and Reverse Engineering for Revamp Projects.
• Assist Mechanical Engineering function to ensure project execution/ completion as per schedule and within estimated budget
adhering to Quality Systems, International Standards, Best Engineering Practices and Environmental Standards for highest
degree of quality and safety in design.
• Support in estimation for bids and delivery of winning proposals.
• Evaluation & selection of subcontractors and subsequent monitoring to ensure sub-contractors are delivering as per terms of
contract.
• Participate in project design reviews.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Perform inter-discipline squad checks.
• Coordinate, Participate and provide guidance during all project studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability etc.
• Site surveys as required.
• Perform technical audits and quality reviews.
• Site pre-commissioning activities and engineering support.
• Guide and Mentor engineers / designers on projects.
Proficient in preparation / review of following mechanical deliverables:
• Preparation / Review of Design Basis.
• Preparation / Review of Equipment Type Selection Report.
• Preparation / Review of Driver Selection Study Reports.
• Preparation / Review of Technology Selection Reports.
• Preparation / Review of Technical Specifications for Equipment.
• Preparation / Review of Mechanical Datasheets.
• Preparation / Review of Material / Purchase requisition.
• Preparation / Review of Technical Bid Evaluation after resolving technical queries with Vendors.
• Vendor Document Review and approval.
• Review / Perform Mechanical handling studies on Projects.
• Prepare man hour estimate and support project proposals.
Level of expertise in carrying out design selection of the following equipment / packages:
• Centrifugal Pumps,
• Positive Displacement Pumps,
• Centrifugal Compressors,
• Reciprocating Compressors,
• Positive Displacement Compressors,
• Pressure Feed Lube Oil systems,
• Mechanical Seals, Couplings and Gearbox,
• Mixers, Fans, Blowers, Motors,
• Plant / Instrument Air Generation Package,
• Nitrogen Generation Package,
• Water Treatment Package,
• Power Generation Package,
• Chemical Injection Package,
• Detailed engineering experience in process package viz. Hydrogen Generation, Distillation Package, Vapor Recovery Package,
Refrigeration Package.
• Experience in either of mechanical drives viz. Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, I.C. engines.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering.
• 14-20 years of basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry.
• Candidates having experience in Engineering office of Reputed Consulting Engineering Companies preferably in the field of
Refinery, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas will be preferred.
• International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices.
• Perform inter-discipline squad checks.
