NOV Energy Equipment, Egypt is seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Control Engineer. As a QC Engineer you will play a key role in checking components against relevant documented specifications whilst providing a balance between cost-effectiveness and quality control. You will ensure that the equipment used is appropriate for the product inspected, and generate the required reporting content and accuracy.

As Quality Engineer you will ensure that products are processed in a timely and an accurate manner providing accurate and timely reports in accordance with the production schedule. You will work in collaboration with the inspection team encouraging positive open discussions on component deficiencies, safety and quality specifications making recommendations to improve processes, methods and safety.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receiving inspection of machined and structural components; as part of equipment repair and recertification project
• Witness of Hardness, MPI, LP and other NDT activities at vendor site.
• Carryout dimensional inspections and knowledge in handling measuring tools, Hardness and NDE equipment
• Preparation of Inspection reports,
• Establish Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for assigned product lines/projects
• Monitor projects from start of receiving stages to assembly to final test (FAT) to shipping
• Review all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the Vendor
• Monitor repair activities, including welding process, NDT inspections, hydrotests and equipment FAT at supplier site
• Review of data books and approve before shipping to client
• Manage NCR's for product line/projects
• Active participation in team Root Cause Analysis, Product NCR Disposition and input to management for continual Improvement
• Active member of the internal audit team
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Production)
• Certified Internal Auditor (9001 : 2015)
• CWI Certificate
• NDT Level 11 Certicate (MPI and DPI)
• Experience in Quality Control activities related to Oilfield Engineering & Rig Floor Equipment (Preferable)
• Experience within a Manufacturing Machine Shop
