JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV MDTotco Egypt is seeking a Workshop Technician who will assist our field operations team to repair electronic equipment and handle software and hardware assembly in the workshop in preparation for field jobs. You will also be assisting with handling shipments in or out of the warehouse locally and will be directly working with logisitcs on such job functions. And will be focal point for common maintenance requirements of the workshop/warehouse area.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Do repair activities such as PCB boards, CPUs, etc.
  • Assemble and test systems as a pre-job requirement.
  • Complete documentation such as pick lists, bills of lading, work orders and shipping orders using computer-based technology.
  • Plan and co-ordinate transportation of materials and manage the timely flow of customer orders and with focus on accuracy, efficiency and time management.
  • Address order flow or shipping delays and quality control issues, such as damaged or improperly packed goods
  • Complete daily shipping and receiving logs.
  • Dispatch freight for delivery and arrange for pickups.
  • Record shipment / dispatch data such as weight, charges, and damages
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being always enforced to.
  • Oversee and assist with all ongoing repair jobs.
  • Review drawings and provide parts lists for all ongoing and future workload.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 3 years hands-on experience in disassembly, reassembly & commissioning of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Competent with a range of hand and basic machine tools
  • Able to maintain and fix electronics equipment (PLC, SBC, input modules
  • Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical & hydraulic schematics.
  • Computer & Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge.
  • Verbal and written Communication.
  • Experienced in using of pneumatic and mechanical hand tools.
