OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Personnel Logistic Specialist or usually called Offshore Personnel Logistician (OPL) will work in Abu Qir, with the responsibility to implement and manage the specific logistics linked to personnel such as visa, Permit issuance, adequate transfer to various sites, in country transportation and housing activities in order to support the project efficiently.

Responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate delivery of Offshore & onshore Personnel Logistics services to customers within area of responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the single point of contact for organization of business activities for company personnel. (Trips, Visas, Meet and greet, Hotel booking, personnel transportation, port permits (G26...) etc.)..
  • Be the single point of contact for any personnel arriving, departing or transiting through Egypt (24/24h and 7/7 days basis).
  • Issue and follow up with crewing department, Projects, Internal Departments, Offshore Resources and agent the requests for personnel movements.
  • Work in close co-operation with the Administration team to ensure all relevant paperwork is raised for all new starts prior to their mobilization and chase any missing information prior to the payroll cut-off.
  • Coordinates crew changes (On & Off) in close relationship with Projects and offshore construction vessels (o/b administrative officers/agents). Ensure all crew changes are smooth and done as per HSES policy
  • Daily control and follow up travel schedule and travel requests.
  • Issuing to in-country and project teams the travel schedule on daily basis
  • Develop and maintain robust personnel tracking systems for all travellers.
  • Prepare and follow new arrivals (installation, training, administration etc.)
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining the cost expenses with agents.
  • Work with project to check KPI, volumes, costs consistency and report accurately.
  • Develop the documentation, guidelines and procedures for visas, Permits, travel booklet in Egypt
  • Monitor and guide on evolution of laws, decrees, related to stay of foreigners in Egypt in collaboration with local HR
  • Maximizes use of Information Systems to ensure delivery of accurate and timely information to customers
  • Liaise with agent and services providers for any issue with personnel and any potential claims.
  • Site visits during mobilization and Demobilization phases of Construction vessels in order to better interface with OMT and Vessels Admin
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Essential
    • BA or equivalent upper education certificate in relevant field
    • Significant experience in a previous logistics role and ideally within Oil & Gas companies
    • Good administrative, organizational and time management skills
    • Microsoft Pack office - Advanced
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and accurate reporting, both written and verbal,
    • Able to work under pressure
    • Knowledge of Health, Safety & Quality
    • English fluent in (oral and written). Moreover, must be comfortable with interlocutor speaking English over the phone, from anywhere in the world.
    • Arabic fluent
  • Desirable
    • Experience with Security/Tracking
    • Knowledge of SAP Software
