Candidate Profile

- General engineer with a specialization in his or her technical field,

- 15 to 20 years' experience in your field,

- Perfect knowledge of steam cracker operation,

- Experience on an operational site essential,

- Fluency in English and very good knowledge of French.

Activities

Your responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and all procedures in your department's activities.

- Manages the department's human resources, supervises and leads teams, sets priorities, distributes work, acts as manager-coach.

- Manage resources and priorities.

- You take part in drawing up specifications for new products, processes, etc.

- You are involved in the safety and operational safety management system.

- You bring the quality system to life for the activities for which you are responsible, contributing to the implementation of quality action plans and raising staff awareness.

- Participates in drawing up specifications for new products, processes, etc.

- Guarantor of technical quality in his/her field of activity.

- Prepares, constructs and consolidates the department's annual budget.

- Regular short-term on-site assignments, mostly in Europe.

For its research center in Feluy (Belgium), TotalEnergies is looking for a

Head of Olefins & Derivatives Department (M/F/X)

As Head of the department , your first task will be to manage and coach a team of around 20 people, including experienced seniors as well as juniors to be coached on methodology and technical/process issues.

This team is in charge of technical assistance for TotalEnergies' steam crackers, aromatics and butadiene units. It also carries out prospective and development studies. You must have a perfect knowledge of the technicality/operability of steam crackers for prioritizing and guiding prospect studies in addition to coaching the team.
