Qualifications / Experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required and 10+ years of experience in a similar role within an accounting / finance organization

• Significant experience in accounting, ability to research guidance on complex topics and strong subject matter expertise in accounting is essential.

• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing process improvements, question existing processes and take initiatives in being part of the change.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive data-driven improvements.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in relevant financial accounting systems and software.

Activities

As the Supervisor - Operational Accounting Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for a range of critical functions. You will be overseeing the Joint Venture, Inventory accounting and cross company transaction champions, providing guidance and mentorship to your team and ensuring cross training. Collaboration with the Shared Service Center will be vital, ensuring efficient processes and effective communication in overseeing the Manila SPOC. You will be driving change management initiatives and optimizing our centralized accounting function. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining operations, standardizing processes, and championing excellence.

Activities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to the team on complex accounting matters.

  • Team Leadership:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Center of Excellence while ensuring proper cross training across the team.

• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects.

  • Shared Service Center Collaboration:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with the Manila SPOC to act as a liaison between the Financial Accounting Group and the Shared Service Center to ensure seamless communication and execution of tasks.

  • Change Management:

• Lead and support process improvement initiatives.

• Implement changes effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

• Adapt to evolving accounting standards and technologies.

  • Centralized Accounting Function:

• Oversee and manage a centralized accounting function within the organization.

• Drive standardization of accounting processes, continuous improvement, and best practices.

Accountabilities:

• Drive operational excellence within the financial accounting function by identifying and implementing process improvements, optimizing workflows, and efficient resource allocation.

• Establish and maintain standardized accounting processes, best practices, and reporting procedures across the organization's centralized accounting function.

• Develop and monitor key performance metrics and indicators for the Center of Excellence team, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
