Candidate Profile

• General engineer with an interest in polymers,
• At least 10 years' experience in an industrial context,
• Proven managerial skills,
• Experience on a production site essential,
• Fluency in English and good knowledge of French.

Activities

- Supervising and leading teams, deciding on priorities, allocating work and acting as a manager-coach.

- Manage resources, budgets and priorities in line with the business.

- Help the team to :

- provide technical support to polymer production sites as part of a continuous improvement and troubleshooting approach;

- evaluate and/or test new processes, catalysts, production of new polymer grades on industrial pilot units and production sites.

- Suggesting, defining and/or developing ideas for investment projects; suggesting, defining and/or developing models and digital decision-making tools for production sites.

- Contribute to plastics recycling (definition of technologies, tests, etc.).

- Ensure technical quality in your area of activity, drawing on the expertise of your team.

- Ensure compliance with safety rules and all procedures in your department's activities.

- Regular short-term assignments on industrial sites, mostly in Europe.

For its research centre in Feluy, TotalEnergies is looking for a

Technical Department Manager (M/F/X)

As Manager of the department , your first task will be to manage and coach a team of around twenty people, a mix of both senior and junior profiles.

This team is responsible for providing technical assistance to the polymer production sites in conjunction with the Business and contributes to the recycling of their plastics .

As part of a global technical team at TotalEnergies, you will contribute to our Company's energy transition.
