JOB TITLE: Electrical Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain essential Electrical systems for life support, safety systems and utility systems.
• Safeguard the availability and operational condition of equipment associated with delivery of production targets.
• Operate at a minimum level of Authorised Electrical Person. It is expected that all Electrical Technicians will work towards SEAP role to provide flexibility and resilience in role.
• Carry out LV and HV switching as required. Perform running up and synchronisation of main generation.
• Delivery of workscopes in 28-Day / 7-day planning & maintenance activities within the discipline and as required by the Lead Techs / Maint Supv.
• Work under the guidance of the Lead Techs to ensure all PMs are completed in a timely manner when plant equipment is offline allowing one outage for activities in the period.
• Ensure all electrical equipment located in hazardous areas have correct 'ex' rating for the correct hazardous zone and installed and maintained in accordance with current legislation.
• Input of high-quality updates into Maintenance Management System, ensure timely sign off of completed workscopes to deliver on plan KPIs.
• Ensure all documentation, daily logs and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.
• With the PMC order and monitor material delivery for department.
• In conjunction with other maintenance personnel review any proposed modifications / work packs prior to implementation and feedback as appropriate.
• Actively support and liaise with all residential / non-residential contractors / vendors acting as central point of contact, ensuring work carried out by 3rd party personnel conforms to statutory regulations and company standards.
• Completion of Competence Management System for role in timely manner.
• Understand and comply with the installations safety case, statutory requirements, and safe systems of work.
• Assist contractors and vendors to comply with Petrofac / Kittiwakes safe systems of work and current legislation.
• Perform in an emergency role as defined by the Company Emergency Response Procedure Manual and Station Bill.

• The postholder is expected to adhere to all Legislative requirements the Petrofac 9 Lifesaving Rules and the Petrofac Values.
• Ability to work in a team, resolving day-to-day operational issues as they occur.
• Ability to manage multiple workscopes, prioritising in liaison with Lead Tech as required for the best outcome for the asset.
• Ability to recognise SIMOPS issues and resolve clashes should they manifest at site.
• Ability to carry out complex fault-finding on-site equipment, liaising with vendors both remotely and locally to resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or Training Scheme.
• Demonstrable experience in maintenance support activities, preferably with experience of multi-skilling.
• OND / ONC / City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 - Electrical.
• All applicable electrical competence certification to enable work on LV and HV systems.
• ISSOW (Proscient Or similar system) training to level 2.
• Compex certification.
• Systems literate - experience of computerised management systems e.g., Maximo, Spreadsheets, etc.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information / knowledge with other personnel.
