Function description

As the Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for maintaining vessels and standards, ensuring safety and productivity.

• Vessel Maintenance
• Use all available data for decision-making (existing business intelligence dashboards like Downtime, Cost control, Inventory and Asset management)
• Provide technical guidance and support to vessel crews and onboard engineers regarding equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with the crew to address technical challenges and ensure the optimal performance of onboard systems and machinery.
• Actively propose and support standardization of working methods and improvement of procedures
• Assist in the yearly reporting of the Technical Status and a Vessel Inspection Sheet

Requirements

Who are you?

• BSc / MSc degree in Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of classification agencies and IMO.
• In-depth knowledge of vessel operations, marine engineering, and maintenance practices
• Familiarity with maritime regulations, classification societies, and industry standards
• Experience in a technical role within a maritime company a plus
• Fluency in English, Dutch preferred
• An EU citizen, or holding a valid EU residency or work permit
