We are looking for Construction Lead EICT for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Qingdao, China

Contract Duration: 36 months

Qualification and Experience Required:

Qualifications

• Engineering/Construction Degree or relevant is beneficial, however, not a requirement and a minimum of 10 years industry experience at a senior level.
• Certified instrumentation professional (level II or III) and or /
• Certified Electrical professional (power systems / CompEX.. or other)

Knowledge and/or Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in E&I works of Oil & Gas industry with exposure to Topsides construction on Fabrication Yards.
• Exhaustive experience for preparation, fabrication and construction of E&I activities of offshore structure including especially Topsides structures with EPCI contractors.
• Knowledge about GTG, EDG installation, Heaters, packages related E&I works
• Knowledge about LER / Control rooms/Automation /ICSS/ Telecom
• Experience managing multiple EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in project execution
• Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards, specifications and codes

Job Purpose

• Monitoring and oversight of the Compression topsides and the contractor team field planning, coordination and execution activities within designated area of responsibility.
• Appraises the performance of the contractor team in safety, quality and schedule.
• Prepare and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Head of Fabrication and updates progress performance of the contractor with analysis to achieve progress
• Ensures that the contractor's E&I team develops, implements and sustains its Safety and Quality program at site
• Review the contractor's construction deliverables such as Method Statements, construction procedures, etc as per company specification

Key Accountabilities

Duties include but not limited to

• Provides safety leadership by example to the Project Team and Topsides fabrication contractor, its sub-contractor and site vendors
• Responsible for ensuring the contractor team implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for HSES project deliverables.
• As Project team construction representative for monitoring and coordinating site activities of the contractor team and its sub contractor(s) in their area of responsibility.
• Report on the construction activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigation actions to Head of Fabrication and participate as well as contribute to weekly construction discipline review meetings.
• Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures and programs for safe and effective execution.
• Reviews and approves the contractor team's construction sequence plans, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements. Participate in constructability reviews, workshops during construction to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility in their area of responsibility.
• Support the engineering team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones; develops and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays
• Review construction risks and assist in providing mitigation measures. Report Risks to the Head of Fabrication.
• Verify that the EPC Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
• Monitor site material handling, preservation and storage/warehouse procedures with respect to their area to facilitate construction progress.

• Supervise all construction site activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
• Ensure there is quality, effectiveness and consistency in the Construction processes, systems, procedures, and work products
• Must be able to manage the respective priorities, drivers and challenges of the stakeholders while maintaining focus on their respective objectives
• Manage multiple internal and external interfaces across various project team and department on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and collaboration
