Our valued client, Woodside Energy, are currently looking for a Principal Well Services Supervisor to join their Perth office team on an inital 12-month contract.

The role will be responsible for the preparation and execution of all completion and abandonment activities including but not limited to workshop planning, equipment preparation, system integration testing, execution of the offshore operations to ensure the achievement of Woodside objectives in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Indicative Onshore Work Scope
  • Workshop Equipment preparation and SIT
  • Contractor will be required conduct workshop planning, supervise equipment to ensure equipment are ready in timely manager
  • The contractor shall be responsible for developing and issuing documentation related but not limited to programmes, lookaheads, loadouts and workplans to the Company Focal Point
  • The contractor shall be responsible for developing and issuing regular Progress Registers to the Company Focal Point
  • Contractor shall be responsible for delivering Performance Standards for equipment and related services provided by service companies for all equipment or services defined as Safety Critical
  • Contractor shall provide Safety Risk support and guidance where necessary to project teams providing input to or executing work critical to Safe operations
Indicative Offshore Work Scope

The Well Services Supervisor shall be responsible for the preparation and execution of all completion and abandonment activities including but not limited to:
  • Supervise the execution of the offshore operations to ensure the achievement of program objectives in a safe and efficient manner
  • Analyse operational risks and confirm that mitigation measures are in place, including the provision of adequate resources and HSE controls
  • Any administrative work to ensure successful job planning and execution
  • Co-ordination and supervise of all offshore activities to ensure safe and efficient operations along with maintaining adherence to the programme
  • Continual assessment and management of personnel and equipment pre, during and post job execution to meet project objectives
  • Working in collaboration with the offshore and onshore team to ensure successful operation
  • Capture of lessons learned and performing After Action Reviews
  • Provide daily operational report and progress update as requested by Company focal point
  • Backload manifests to meet the project requirements
Skills & Experience:

The company request the Principal WSS to possess extensive knowledge of subsea drilling, completion and intervention operational experience including but not limited to:
  • Well completion operations including gravel pack and pumping operations, gravel pack sand face design and execution
  • Electric wireline operation including fishing
  • Slickline operation including fishing
  • Coiled Tubing operation
  • Live well intervention
  • High H2S intervention
  • Cement plugs placement and cement squeeze operations
  • Casing section milling
  • Perf wash and cement operations
  • Casing and well head cutting and recovery
  • Well test equipment and operational experience
  • IWCF level 4 Well Intervention Certificate or Drilling every 2 years, Bosiet, H2S training
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Commitment and passion for managing HSE
If this is a Site / Asset based role, or will reasonably require more than 5 days in a row to be spent at an asset / site, candidates are expected to demonstrate the below in order to be considered:
  1. Have completed and hold a valid Industry Safety Induction (Safer Together), or
  2. Be able to demonstrate 12 months O&G experience within the last 2 years, in order to be granted an 'experienced worker' exemption.
