Aker Solutions is looking for a Structural Engineer - Discipline Lead with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Trondheim and will be led from there.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and take responsibility for all structural engineering activities within the assigned project.
• Prepare man-hour estimates, schedules, and manpower resource requirements to meet project objectives.
• Ensure job progress aligns with the schedule and meets the required quality standards.
• Establish need dates for the assignment of personnel on the job.
• Supervise, assign, and schedule work for the entire structural team on the project.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and other discipline Lead Engineers to ensure accurate, timely communication and the smooth flow of information.

Skills and Levels Description:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Discipline Engineer.
• Knowledge of relevant design rules and standards.
• Detailed understanding of PEM, Discipline engineering methods & tools, and processes in relevant execution phases.
• Familiarity with requirements for interfacing with other disciplines and parties, as well as EMM best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
• Experience in Structural calculations.
• Adequate knowledge of contract, budgeting, change, and risk management.
• Management capabilities, proactive with good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in software such as Sesam Genie, STAAPro, Naviswork, Mathcad, and E3D.
• Master's or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English, both written and oral.
