Construction Engineer Naval

We are looking for a Construction Engineer Naval for one of our clients with the following details:
Location : Saint Quentin en Yveline France

Profile:

  • Proven expertise in naval architecture activities in oil and gas projects
  • Certified engineering skills preferred
  • Rigorous, solution-oriented expertise through to completion of tasks
  • Expertise in organization, communication, leadership and cross-functional coordination for task completion
  • Language: English required

Responsibilities :

HSE :

Demonstrate exemplary HSE behavior.

Implement HSE requirements in the field of marine systems.

Engineering:

  • Oversee and review/approve naval architecture engineering related activities performed by EPSCC contractor and subcontractors.
  • Supervise and review model testing activities, including preparation of test specifications and evaluation of test facility proposals. Attend model tests as company representative, evaluate test results and reconcile data with hydrodynamic analysis.
  • Supervise and review design hydrodynamic activities for design conditions and verify compatibility of design hydrodynamic loads with other interface disciplines, e.g. SURF motions and load response.
  • Supervise and review/approve the mooring and riser design, including its pulling and installation procedure, supporting the mooring engineer where necessary.
  • Supervise and review/approve integrity stability and damage analysis, including tank unloading and inspection conditions.
  • Supervise, review and monitor FPSO weight, review lightship weight distribution, COG estimates and radius of gyration estimates.
  • Supervise and review/approve hull strength analysis, hull fatigue analysis and FEA (finite element analysis) for hull and local structures.
  • Oversee and review plans for transporting the FPSO and modules/equipment to the integration yard.
  • Review and comment on engineering documents in a timely manner and consolidate comments related to naval architecture deliverables; liaise with other engineering specialists and stakeholders as required.
  • Oversee and review FPSO classification approval.
  • Supervise and review/approve hull repair and life extension activities.
  • Oversee and verify that hull construction activities conform to design.
  • Respond promptly to technical clarifications, deviation requests and unexpected technical issues, using a proactive and competent approach.
  • During execution, create and manage site queries (SQ), technical queries (TQ) and associated non-conformance reports (NCR).
  • Ensure appropriate reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Hull management team and proposing corrective actions.
