Senior Commercial & Contracts Consultant

Exciting opportunity for a Commercial/Contracts Engineer to join a company involved in the exploration, production, and transportation of crude oil, and natural gas on a 12-month contract basis. The role is to lead and drive the clarification process and work alongside management and project teams to develop strategies for profitable, safe, and ethical execution success.

The Role:
* Responsible for taking the lead role in drafting, negotiating, pricing, and concluding negotiations of positions in contracts to facilitate Engineering Consultancy requirements.
* Involves collaborating with subject matter experts to incorporate technical content into submissions and liaising with affiliates and clients to obtain necessary information/documentation for completion.
* Leading in the pricing, contractual and all commercial activities relating to proposal development and project execution.
* Working in partnership with the cost control engineer to review commercial reporting of projects including preparation of monthly reports and progress acceptance and managing via the Finance Manager the invoicing and payment to subcontractors and clients.
* Responsible for managing the risk of each business winning opportunity and project, including commercial, financial and contractual risk.

Required Experience:
* University Degree Master/Diploma in Engineering.
* Experienced in a broad range of project execution types including feasibility and conceptual studies, front end engineering design and engineering procurement and construction projects.
* Experience managing proposal, cost, and project controls within major projects.
* Extensive experience in proposal management, contract management and cost estimating inclusive of contract negotiations.
* Good knowledge of the global Oil and Gas industry, their working practices, systems and commercial and cost practices is essential.
* Willingness to travel to North Africa is essential - Minimal travel.
