Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Performance Delivery Manager to join our Water business unit to work in Peterborough.
We are one year into our latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7 and this will see us deliver an approximate 1.8bn programme of work over the next five years. Are you ready to join us as we gear up to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP we have ever seen?
What you'll be doing
With around 800 projects to deliver across the region, it is vital we constantly oversee our performance and ways of working to ensure we are delivering the best service to our customers. This is where our growing and diverse Performance Team come, to monitor, sustain and improve the performance of the @one Alliance. The analysis and insight of our corporate data provides good quality information to enable decision making, driving compliance and efficiency.
To carry out this continuous improvement and maintenance function for our data, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Performance Delivery Manage to join us!
What will you be doing as our new Performance Delivery Manager?
You'll be responsible for delivering the following capabilities to the business: Performance Management, data flow from our corporate systems, data Integrity and analytics.
Working with the Performance Manager and the Head of Finance and Performance this role will set performance targets, encourage improvement and enable out-performance to be delivered in the @One Alliance. You'll ensure consistent, effective, efficient performance management and reporting to enable us to maximise efficiency and realise opportunities.
Key responsibilities:Who we're looking for
Provide the Senior Leadership and delivery teams with balanced score cards and performance analysis to support end user requirements and drive business improvement
Tailor information to site/office/mobile environments and the data flow/warehousing and generation of reports through Business Intelligence platforms
Manage the production and visualisation of data from systems to enable greater control through warehousing of data, reducing manual handling and improving our data quality
Undertake analysis to detail insights to be developed in conjunction with the Delivery/Functional teams; this will include analysing trends and movement of the @one performance
Conduct data flow and analytics designed to support the business by capturing and sharing information via a controlled process to the common warehouse environment ensuring data integrity (One version of the truth)
Participate in the development of Predictive Analytics/Hyperintelligence / AI / Machine Learning capability
Personal Qualities and Experience:
To join us on this journey of data and performance excellence, you'll have proven experience of working in a performance environment to compliment your financial analytical experience and understanding of analytical tools.
With experience of SQL and reporting tools such as TIBCO Jasper Studio and SSRS, AWS QuickSight, or PowerBI, you'll be comfortable developing a performance reporting framework and development of reporting software.
Demonstrating a dynamic and collaborative approach whilst working cross- functionally, you'll possess the ability to building strong relationships with a range of people by showcasing your enthusiasm and analysis expertise.
Operating as a Completer/ Finisher, you'll be a strong team player by managing pressure and strict deadlines to deliver value added performance projects across our exciting business.

The @One Alliance (Project)
Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group has been a member of Anglian Waters @one Alliance since 2004, delivering a number of major water projects.
The @one Alliance is a collaborative organisation of consultants and contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme. Partners on the project are Anglian Water (Client) Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH, Skanska and Sweco.
The contract is based from an integrated office at Peterborough offering a collaborative, innovative and unique working environment with a subsidised caf , free parking and teams focused on the customers we serve within the Anglian Water region.
Based in Peterborough, with good transport links from Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, the roles include all engineering disciplines, quantity surveyors, project delivery managers plus many more.
The collaborative working environment allows our teams to develop many technical and personal skills to enhance future personal opportunities within the alliance project.About us

The @one Alliance is a collaborative organisation of consultants and contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme.
The Anglian Water @one Alliance will design and build around 800 schemes worth approximately 1.5billion between April 2020 and March 2025, known as AMP7 the current five-year investment period, working closely with Anglian Water operations teams and other key stakeholders.
The contract is for the entire five-year regulatory period, from 2020 to 2025, with extensions which could take it to 2030, making it one of the longest collaborations in the sector. It operates within an alliance of delivery partners set up by Anglian Water.
As a stakeholder within the Anglian Water @one Alliance, Balfour Beatty provide both design and construction services across the whole of Anglian Waters region, which is the largest by geographic area in the UK, stretching from the Humber to the Thames estuary and from Buckinghamshire to the East Coast. Work is mainly focussed on clean water Infrastructure (water mains), but also includes wastewater infrastructure and both water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects, such as treatment works and pumping stations.
