The opportunity

Senior-level building surveyor required to support in the delivery and management of an expanding team in the London and South East region. You should be experienced in providing both professional and project delivery building surveying services working across a good breadth of sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the strategic plans for the business and help maintain and develop business for the future.

  • Taking responsibility for the management of client and project teams to deliver building surveying services profitably and on time.

  • Delivering projects from inception to completion with the minimum of supervision to meet the project objectives in accordance with company policies.

  • Providing new business proposals and tendering, liaising with the marketing team to ensure highest quality marketing and promotional materials.

  • Collaborating with other service streams, sectors and the wider business to provide combined and innovative solutions improving our commercial advantage.

  • Ensuring the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients, acting as primary interface to help build clients' confidence in the team.

  • Participating in relevant internal/external training initiatives.

  • Looking for opportunities to bring and build value, delivering client solutions which exceed expectations

  • Keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice.

  • Managing and guiding teams to enable a strongly motivated, engaged and high performing function.

  • Managing others including undertaking performance and development reviews and mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues.

  • Supervising, directing and providing technical expertise to team members.

About you

You are comfortable building lasting client relationships and providing support to the team. You will ideally have experience working in building surveying within consultancy background.
