The opportunity
Project: This is an infrastructure rail project with an approximate value of £1.4bn
The planner establishes and maintains the schedules for a major utilities subcontract value in excess of 50 million on the Euston project and monitors and reports performance against it. Manages the pre-construction deliverables through to project closeout and hand back.
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing level two programmes for work packages and develop level three programmes for tender purposes.
Reviewing contractors programmes returned with tenders and make comments as appropriate to support the procurement process.
Supporting the contract administration.
Reviewing the detailed work schedules produced by contractors and ensure that they comply with strategic programmes the work breakdown structure.
Producing programmes as may be necessary to coordinate works between packages.
Monitoring the progress of the works on site against key milestones and report progress in accordance with the monthly cycle.
Providing data input and producing earned value reports for packages of the works
Reporting on the adequacy of time risk allowances and any erosion due to events.
Supporting the project manager and project controls manager regarding all issues relating to schedule.
Liaising with the project controls manager to ensure that an accurate assessment of project progress is available at all times.
Liaising continuously with members of the team to ensure that all activities are coordinated and that interface issues are identified at the earliest possible time and coordinated within the overall programme.
Working with project managers and sub-consultants to resolve issues and develop programmes to mitigate the delay.
About you
You have experience in planning utilities installations/street works. You have knowledge of construction techniques methods and durations. You have an understanding of techniques for project planning control and other facets of project control. You have knowledge of Primavera P6. You have knowledge of integrated project planning, last planner. You have the ability to apply EVA techniques.
