are currently recruiting for an Quantity Surveyor to join us
Kier Highways design roads, bridges and
intelligent transport systems (ITS), covering strategic and nationally
important roads, as well as local roads serving local communities. Our projects
range from major improvements to complete renewals of roads and structures.
With specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to
handover at the end of maintenance periods.
We need an experienced Quantity Surveyor to carry out financial
control of provider works, including value engineering, estimating, negotiating
prices, identifying and agreeing the value of additional works, interim
valuations, final accounts.
Tasks/Responsibilities as follows:
financial control of provider works;
& control of commercial risk and opportunity from inception to
provision of accurate measurements advice and assistance;
- The accurate measurement, cost control and
settlement of final accounts
- Providing guidance to less experienced members
of the team.

of commercial risk;
identification and evaluation of additional works;
evaluation and procurement of supply chain;

target prices with supply chain
cost advice to facilitate the value management of individual schemes;
with the Integrated Management System;
with relevant health and safety legislation.
