Position Description: Intern
Reports to: ProjectEngineer, Project Superintendent or Estimating Manager.
Engineering role will involveassisting in obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information andauthorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and tothe quality specified. Superintendent role requires maintaining daily contactwith subcontractor’s representatives, forepersons and other Turner Staffresponsible for the protection and promotion of Turner Construction Companyinterests
Essential Duties &Responsibilities*: Duties mayinclude, but are not limited to the following:
Engineering: Obtain information and approvals for processing of shop drawings and submittals. Distribute information required for construction to appropriate parties. Assist in the preparation of contract items list. Complete Daily Construction Reports (DCR), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and Request For Information (RFI). Act as a liaison between the superintendents and subcontractors. Assist with QA/QC activities. Utilize construction management software such as Procore. Organize job site team activities. Take progress photos of the project.
Superintendent: Monitor field variations and keep the Project Superintendent informed of any changes. Ensure that sub-contractors understand job schedules and make every effort to meet them. Ensure contractor compliance with Turner’s safety program and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Perform other duties as necessary.
Estimating: Assist with the bidding process. Utilize construction estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff.

- Qualifications: Must be a student at a college or university offeringdegree programs; intense interest and passion for the Construction Industry anda desire to work in a team environment. Demonstrate leadership andinterpersonal skills. Ability to communicate both verbally and inwriting. Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft office suiteprograms.
Physical Demands: Performance of the required duties will require physicalability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of constructionpersonnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas underconstruction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjustfocus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, orfeel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance,stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/ormove up to 75 pounds.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employeeregularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee isexposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborneparticles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noisein these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. Employees mustoccasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
