Qualifications: B.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) required, M.S preferred with fourto ten years of industry experience as a practicing Geotechnical Engineer or anequivalent combination of education, training and/or experience; must belicensed as a Professional Engineer. Must have the ability to think and write in a highly structured mannerwhile also having the required creativity to develop specialized solutions andanticipating potential challenges and opportunities. Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary teamenvironment. Must have design experienceon a diverse array of projects through all phases of design and construction.Experience with peer reviews and/or due diligence studies. Projects will belocated throughout the U.S and approximately 25% travel is expected. Experiencewith U.S. building design codes and material specific standards. Goodunderstanding of structural mechanics and structural engineering principles isrequired. Must have significantdemonstrated skills in utilization of geotechnical software (such as LPILE,Slide7, Settle3D, Plaxis, FLAC, Shoring Suite, CPe-IT, MathCAD, etc.), generalcollaboration software (e.g. Bluebeam Studio). Able to effectively and clearlycommunicate in a professional environmental via verbal and written means.Knowledge of geotechnical and foundation system costs. Continued development ofexpertise and awareness of innovations in the industry. Experience with seismichazard analysis and construction vibrations is a big plus.
