Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a TBM Shift Manager join our Balfour Beatty Vinci HS2 joint venture in Long Itchington, Warwickshire.
What you'll be doing
As a TBM Shift Manager you will:
Prepare / review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans.
Manage team of.SCL/TBM Engineers, including programming of shift work.
Supervise works to ensure all shaft and/or tunnelling works are carried out safely .
Manage the monitoring of shotcrete lining thickness through inspection of post shift as-builts / visiting the works regularly throughout the shift.
Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and report any standards on the site which are considered by you as inadequate.
Who we're looking for
Be degree qualified or have relevant professional experience in either Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or, similar) and have, or be studying towards a professional qualification such as MICE/FGS
Hold a valid CSCS card.
Have strong experience at Shift Engineer Level.
Have full experience of SCL/TBM works
Be able to manage shift engineers and operatives.

56 culverts and other under-bridges;
66 embankments reaching over 33km;
Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures and six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and over-bridge structures.
