We are currently looking to recruit a Caretaker / Site Officer to work at South Grove Primary School. The role will shall provide an efficient, effective, healthy and safe range of Site Management Services. This will include responsibility for the proper cleaning, monitoring of cleaning standards, maintenance and security of School/Education premises and facilities (including Adult Education and Youth Service).
In this exciting new role, day to day activities will include responsibility for the security and health and safety of the premises and its contents. The successful applicant will become familiar with contractual KPI’s and SLA’s and assist in them being met.
The post holder will also be responsible for all contractors undertaking cleaning and maintenance work and monitor operations, submitting written reports when required. They will also manage Site Services Assistant(s) and cleaners (where applicable) as well as plan and administer a training programme for the Site Services Assistants, to ensure the continued development of the Assistant's role. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that all services (i.e. heating, lighting and plumbing) are operating to satisfactory standards the Site Officer will arrange and carry out minor repairs and maintenance duties to buildings and equipment as appropriate.
What do we need from you?
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar Facility Management or Caretaking role and will need to be flexible. You should also be able to demonstrate primary trade background to ensure the experience will assist in ensuring a quality and efficient delivery. You will ensure that you are organised to carry out a multiple number of tasks or calls per day as directed by the Operations team. You should be confident in dealing with customers and be ready to go the extra mile to uphold customer satisfaction as well as maintaining high quality work ensuring all repairs are carried out to high standards.
