About the Role
As a Cable Puller, you will be working as part of a
two-person team to install, repair and test Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial (HFC) and
Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) from the distribution point to Virgin Media’s
customer properties, in accordance with Kier’s and Virgin Media’s Standard
Operating Procedures. You will be responsible for carrying out all pre pulling/blowing
tasks as directed by your Manager and the daily work through your mobile
device, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
What we need from you?
As we are looking to train you to become a Cable Puller/Pre-Puller, we
are looking for those who have experience in one of a variety of roles that
expose you to construction & labour-related activities. This includes
Groundwork, Grounds Maintenance, Labouring, Construction, Streetworks, Heavy
Cable work and other related roles involving constant physical work & power
tools. This role will involve working outside all day, so you should be
comfortable with working in all weathers.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you hold a full UK
driving licence, and due to geographical nature of the role you will need
to live within the area listed for the location you are applying for.
Although not essential it would be beneficial if you held any of the
following accreditations: NRSWA Operative, CSCS/EUSR Card, or Working At
