MEP Manager job in Mumbai at Mace Group

The opportunity

Project: This is a 3 million sq. ft. high-rise residential project in south Mumbai with a panoramic view of the racecourse, comprising of three 250 metres - 270 metres tall towers, 3 basements, and a nine-level podium structure with 60-70 habitable floors.

Reporting to the construction head, responsible for the management of all consultants and MEP contractors involved in this major scheme, through design and delivery on-site to commissioning and handover.

Part of the senior management team in a client-facing, project management consultancy role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing the overall status of the MEP works reporting on the progress of all MEP aspects of the project to the project director, design and commercial team.

• Overseeing that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.

• Being accountable in driving, quality, cost and schedule of the MEP work.

• Monitoring compliance with the project brief.

• Monitoring progress against the project scope.

• Scheduling of design reviews at all gateways and control points.

• Organising and managing technical review team resource and input.

• Delivering on-site management of a construction supervision team and the main MEP contractors.

• Reviewing and reporting on project status with the project management team and recommending corrective action where needed.

• Scrutinising and seeking to improve the project deliverables. 

• Driving innovation and better ways of working. 

• Initiating and driving value management and value engineering as required.

About you

You have a degree qualification in construction, civil engineering and member of a professional body. You have extensive experience in large scale high-rise (50+ stories project) construction project. You have a broad knowledge of construction techniques with high technical expertise. You have knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing techniques.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You will have a main contracting, management contracting, construction management, project management or engineering background and be keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
