Bring innovative ideas to the table as you work with and learn from experienced Estimators and Senior. Estimators. Analyze plans, produce quantity take-offs, create win strategies and gain an overall understanding of complex projects in order to develop accurate and competitive project cost estimates.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required information is provided.

  • Develop cost estimate by soliciting specific pricing from vendors and/or sub-contractors.

  • Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and unit prices for review with Senior Estimator and/or Estimating Manager

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and provide accurate information

 

We’re Looking For:

  • Computer proficient with ability to adapt to new innovations and processes

  • Interest in learning and understanding the Construction industry

  • Capable of understanding construction documents including drawings, standards, and specifications

  • Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Good math/accounting skills

  • Potential management and leadership skills

  • Functions effectively as part of a team

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

  • Positive attitude is a must

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or  Engineering preferred (experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree)

  • Prior internships in estimating or construction engineering/construction management industry is consider a plus

  • Ability to read plans/specs for select disciplines

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, PowerPoint; estimating and scheduling software a plus.
