Severn Vale Housing is a social housing provider, owning and managing circa 3,785 properties and providing services to over 5,000 customers across Gloucestershire.
We are currently looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Property Services department. The purpose of this post is to carry out high quality electrical repairs and maintenance work to our assets whilst providing a first rate customer focused service. You will be promoting and role modelling the behaviours consistent with the Severn Vale values at all times.
Carrying out the traditional duties of an Electrician, youll assist other trades operatives and complete jobs according to instructions and health and safety regulations. Youll be responsible for ensuring that all associated documentation is effectively carried out and that all pre-arranged appointments are met.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an Electricians role working in domestic properties. Youll hold a City and Guilds qualification in Inspection and Testing (or equivalent), 17th edition, along with experience of and a recognised qualification in testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
Its important that you have previous experience of installing and replacing consumer units, extractor fans, smoke alarms, lights, sockets, combi boiler programmers, and thermostats. Youll also be experienced in servicing, maintaining and installing a variety of fire alarm systems. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Please note, you must also be willing to take part in a stand-by roster and work overtime if required.
