Large main contractor have an immediate requirement for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer. This position is based in Inverness and will involve roaming across various sites in the North East of Scotland. You'll be a crucial member of a successful and proven team with years of experience in the water and waste water industry.
As well as benefiting from a £300/day rate you will also have a genuine opportunity to move into a permanent position within a company boasting a turnover of £35M, as well as a regional head office in The Highlands.
Key Responsibilities include:
To support the project team by developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files,methodologies, programmes, method statements and risk assessments
Attend FAT activities and provide constructive input with regard to system controls.
Carry out commissioning of Electrical, instrumentation and control systems including MCC's and associated field equipment
Complete SAT and Asset Start-up
Complete site commissioning documentation
Review Subcontractor documentation including RAMS, commissioning documents and technical submissions
Ensure that safe systems of work are adhered to at all times
Liaise with, co-ordinate and supervise sub-contractors
Liaise with the Client and deliver concise and accurate project updates
Generate and deliver training packages to Client
Key competencies, Skills, Experience and/or Training Requirements:
Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent
Proven Mechanical & Electrical experience - preferably 5 years full commissioning phase experience (installation, dry, wet, process testing)
Experience of iMCC's including VSD's, Softstarts and Flow, Level, Pressure and Temperature instrumentation
An understanding of clean and waste water treatment processes including chemical dosing systems
Experience in executing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for clean and waste water projects on both new build and retrofit sites
Experience in FAT and SAT testing
Experience in telemetry end to end testing
Experience with Microsoft Office software
Good technical, communication and organisational skills
Flexibility for location of work and out of hours working as required by the Company

First Aid at Work - 1 or 3 day
Profibus Installation and Commissioning Certification
ECS Grading card + 17 th Edition Wiring Regs
IOSH Working Safely or IOSH Managing Safely
Isolation & Testing for dead
Experience of working with Scottish Water including an understanding of the commissioning milestones and related handover activities
Siemens PLC experience
Previous experience holding SAP or AP position and of PTW systems
