Temp to Perm: £11 £15 per hour

I am currently searching for a Technical Administrator for one of the UKs leading House Builders based in Caterham. This is initially a temporary role which will then become permanent after 4-6 weeks. As Technical Administrator you will be required to provide a secretarial function to the Technical Director and the Land Teams. This is an office based role.

Key Duties:

  • Manage purchase orders for consultants, invoice logging/signing off, maintaining fee schedule and manage queries and amendments to ensure the smooth running of the technical procurement process for every site.

  • To manage, coordinate and document the distribution of all technical details including site drawings, standard details and specifications.

  • Managing the commissioning of key consultant appointments for all sites; raise orders and update relevant spreadsheets, liaise with consultants and internal team for each site to ensure Technical Managers are kept up to date with developments.  Carry out CQMS checks (internal H&S audit).

  • Liaise with Local Councils regarding street naming and numbering,

  • Manage registration of plots with NHBC.

  • Maintain and update user register on the NHBC Portal.

  • To gather and collate Corporate Responsibility information from different departments within the company, populate the applicable spreadsheets and submit to Group on a quarterly basis as required.

  • Ensure that all data in the Technical Department is archived at the correct time and provide a maintenance system for retrieval, also to ensure each Technical Manager conforms with the departments data storage and system requirements.

  • To constantly review Technical Department practices and procedures, to innovate and design improved systems and ensure smooth implementation to ensure maximum efficiency is maintained.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

  • Good level of organisation and work/time management.

  • Able to work in an administrative capacity in a business environment, preferably within the construction industry.

  • Good level of communication skills, with the necessity to liaise with internal staff and external bodies.

  • Able to work accurately with data, to include updating of excel spreadsheets.

  • Good level of IT literacy with experience of Outlook, Excel & Word.

  • Good general education, especially a high standard of English and numeracy.

  • Knowledge of Oracle system an advantage but not necessary
