Overview

The Account Manager is the custodian of the client account at a Geozone / Country level and is responsible for developing and owning the business strategy for their specific client(s). The role is responsible for leading the revenue growth of the account through both contract optimization and new business acquisition processes. The role provides guidance and connectivity between our matrix organization and the client and is accountable for delivering account business objectives per the account plan, including revenues, profitability and other agreed metrics. In cooperation with Geozones and Product lines leadership the role will create and maintain a strategic account plan to drive growth in terms of revenue and profitability to meet agreed targets.

Job Purpose

Our Global Account Manager- Chevron, drives and supports revenue and profit growth by establishing and maintaining relationships and connectivity with clients at senior levels within their organization. You will also continue the development and execution of strategic account plans which are aligned with global, regional and local sales and marketing strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

  • Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises
QUALITY
  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherfords Management System
  • Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
OPERATIONS
  • Ownership of the Account Management life cycle process, stepping up to deliver on your responsibilities, is ultimately your accountability.
  • Responsible for the Account Plan in SFDC, communicating the plan to all stakeholders, planning resources & activities to achieve the Plans annual performance
  • Adopt and drive consistent & effective use of Technology
  • Assist Geozones with the tender development and response process, ensure all resources are available for highest quality tender submissions via the tender management process
  • Accountable for addressing budget and resource considerations for proposals and pursuits.
  • In conjunction with Geozone Sales responsible for negotiations, inc; contract extensions ensuring SFDC is kept up to date as well as liaise with legal as necessary for drafting
  • Assemble and disseminate market intelligence including gathering client feedback
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to strengthen WFRD Identity by understanding customer/industry key objectives & challenges -emphasizing and aligning our Core Capabilities
  • Oversee all areas of business risk and ensure strategies exist to mitigate these as much as possible
COMMUNICATION
  • Learn and understand customers needs and tailors service offering to meet or exceed their requirements
  • Accountable for developing the Client Engagement Plan to enhance the profitability of the company through expanding the Corporate provision of products and services to new and existing customers
  • Delivers presentations to clients and participates in relevant industry forums/ marketing events
  • Lead and manage client commercial arrangements to ensure best value and long term viability
  • Manages clients expectations as well as problem job communication and agreement
  • Lead annual global business review with client
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
FINANCIAL
  • Generates revenue and pipeline targets through the account plans & has quarterly reviews with Global Account VP
  • Accountable for finalizing the Upsell Plan as per the bid strategy
  • Accountable for the commercial success of cross product line and cross geozone projects
  • Accountable for action to identify and address revenue and pipeline gaps for the year to ensure target achievement
  • Ensure all Commercial processes are applied through TPMS to maximize efficiency of pricing & tendering
  • All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
  • Awareness of Companys policies on performance management
  • Undertakes necessary Sales and PL training to enhance their process excellence and ability to improve sales growth via x-PL opportunities
  • Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
  • Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential
  • Supervisors are expected to actively engaging their employees to support talent management through Weatherfords performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities
  • Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing talented workforce

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
  • 10+ years industry experience inc a minimum of 5 years in industry sales.
  • Experience selling within production, facilities, and/or reservoir teams

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED
  • Ability to demonstrate that they are commercially astute and have a good understanding of tenders, contracts, negotiations, high margin / profitability achievement as well as the requirements for high quality customer service
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to enter new client organization and develop high level relationships
  • Sufficient business acumen to enable opportunity evaluation and effective prioritization
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects under tight schedules, relaxed under pressure
  • Familiarity with the latest developments in sales management techniques
Travel Requirement

This role will require domestic and international travel of up to: 25-50%
